Tasks
The Supervisor, Distribution Infrastructure will apply supervisory expertise to resolve problems, and improve processes within the department and should have technical or functional expertise in Distribution Infrastructure; and general knowledge within and across departments. In coordination with the Manager, Distribution Infrastructure will develop goals, strategies and supporting initiatives for the management of Distribution Infrastructure. This position will identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems within Distribution Infrastructure teams and will interpret customer/stakeholder needs and assesses requirements for resolution. This position will identify infrastructure, threats and opportunities, define & prioritize system wide solutions based on risk, value and implementation complexity and will present complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others to adopt a different point of view. The Supervisor, Distribution Infrastructure will forecast, plan, schedule, monitor, control budget/estimates, construction plans and material orders and will participate in the management of resource allocation including developing forecasts and plans to insure adequate resources are available. Qualified candidates for this position will have depth and breadth of knowledge and interprets processes and standards related to distribution infrastructure and other disciplines. This position will recommend solutions and process improvements and will represent Distribution Infrastructure on projects, task forces and studies. This position is accountable for the performance of the specific section of the Department assigned and will have direct supervisory responsibility for the#Professional employees assigned to their team. This position will present information orally or in writing to Senior management and will in coordination with the Manager, Distribution Infrastructure, set clear, individual and team, expectations that are aligned to strategic plans as well as evaluate the results produced from individual and team performance. This position will assume the responsibility for all aspects of the end to end process, including short term and long term planning and will maintain knowledge of leading edge techniques and technology through participation through in professional associations. This position will perform unique, complex engineering analyses, designs and calculations following not only standard methodology and principles but other approaches deemed viable and will develop alternate methods or design concepts to resolve unique customer related problems.##
Requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Science or Business Management and seven years of experience
