4K a year Responsibilities Performs accounts payable processes and activities with direction and supervision.
Performing transactional activity in the scope of Accounts Payable which may include support of payment processing, vendor maintenance, researching and resolving invoice discrepancies or issues, processing vendor invoices and supporting the Accounts Payable staff.
Responsible for invoice booking and acceptance of invoices for all Avangrid companies using Opentext VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) in the AVANGRID SAP platform in a volume driven environment.
Processing invoices in electronic workflow returned from internal business representatives which require additional actions before being posted for payment.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
1.
Meets deadlines and targets in the accounts payable area adhering to established accounting policies of the organization.
2.
Processing transactional activity which requires self-review and verification with a high level of accuracy and volume.
3.
Follows and adheres to the Administration Model in compliance generally accepted business practices.
4.
Provides support to both internal and external customers.
Skills and Requirements Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline including but not limited to Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of SAP ERP systems desired.
Knowledge of procure to pay processes desired.
Skills/Abilities:
Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to work independently, quickly and accurately Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with others Strong verbal and written communication skills Computer proficiency skills required Able to work in a cross functional environment AVANGRID employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties.
