RN Nurse Designee is to act in the absence of the SALSA (Supervisor of Assisted Living) and shall be available to provide relief for the SALSA as needed. This position is responsible for the oversight and management of staff and residents with the primary focus of serving the healthcare needs of Charter Senior Living residents in accordance with Federal and state regulations and standards. The RN Nurse Designee assures the quality of care for residents in conjunction with the Executive director, Nurse Designee, and other department managers. Supervising assigned nursing personnel and assisted living aides in the delivery of nursing services and assistance with the provision of activities of daily living. Ensuring the evaluation of the clinical competence of assigned nursing personnel. and assisted living aides. Participates and develops objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures concerning nursing services and the provision of assistance with activities of daily living. Responsible for the scheduling of daily assignments of duties for nursing staff to assure 24-hour coverage. Participates in program planning, budget building, maintaining the budget, and evaluating of activities. Responsible for quality management program; promotes team building, staff development, and empowerment. Ensures strong coordination of care with any outside providers involved in the resident service plan. Review and develop a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections, and review with department heads as required. Leads the recruiting efforts for all direct care staff, selection, and orientation. Participates in the development and implementation of resident care policies and brings resident care. Promotes quality resident service and amenities by incorporating the organization's mission and standards of care. Contribute to the strategic management of Charter Senior Living by participating in senior management planning sessions and consulting with other department heads. Provide weekly reports to the service coordinator regarding any problems associated with the provision of the core services, or any problems or concerns associated with the managed residential community or the assisted living services agency, summaries of which shall be provided to the governing authority in accordance with the schedule established by the governing authority. Provide monthly reports to the service coordinator regarding statistical data including the number of clients served and services provided, summaries of which shall be provided to the governing authority in accordance with the schedule established by the state. Must have a bachelor's degree in nursing A minimum of two (2) years of full-time clinical experience in nursing with at least one (1) of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of the sick at home Must have an associate degree in nursing. With four (4) years of full-time clinical experience in nursing within the past ten (10) years with at least one (1) year of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that includes care of the sick at home. Minimum of one (1) year of nurse management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and daily clinical operation supervision Knowledge of applied nursing practice and techniques in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations Outstanding assessment, survey management, medication management, and follow-up Proficiency in English preferred.
