Tasks
This role acts as a consultant with project team to assess the health of projects and work with them to increase viability and predictability. This includes project recovery, project audit, change management, risk assessment, contingency review, estimating review, measurement, and project reporting. The compliance team works to identify competency development opportunities, process improvements, and tool enhancements. Proactively identifies and solves complex issues with projects in need of recovery. Identifies process issues and works closely with project management process and standards to identify possible improvements. Measures compliance to project management standards and uses measurements to identify project issues, improvements, and recovery tactics. Develops innovative solutions to project management and project controls through the use of new or enhanced tools (i.e. Primavera, excel, SAP).Communicates effectively to project teams and senior management on problems or needs. May be required to present information regarding ideas and anticipates objections to gain understanding on correct course of action. Leads others to assess project risk realistically and plan appropriate means to mitigate, eliminate or at times accept such risks.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, economics or related field; advanced degree, certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), holder of Masters Certificate in Project Management, or the like preferred. Primavera (P6) and SAP financial and project systems proficiency is needed. Seven years of experience in project management, finance, and related subject matter#functionality, Ability to produce spreadsheets, data base queries, and other such analytical tools. Must be self-directed and demonstrate initiative. Strong written and verbal skills required.##C
