Vehicle Description Introduced in 1956, the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was the convertible counterpart to the Eldorado Seville two-door hardtop and was an instant hit.
Beautiful and luxurious, the Biarritz's name is tied to a French coastal resort town that couldn't be more beautiful.
By the Eldorado's fifth generation, introduced for 1961, the big fins of the 1950s had been reworked to a sleek low profile design by GM head of design Bill Mitchell.
A very distinctive feature are the double fins on both the top and the bottom of the rear quarter giving that real jet age look.
Still loaded with chrome the front end has a full width grille and quad headlights.
The interior design is just as beautiful with a sleek mid century dashboard and beautiful front bucket seats.
Under the hood the 390 cubic inch V8 gives plenty of power to carry the Biarritz at comfortable speeds, especially mated to the 4 speed hydramatic transmission.
The 1962 Eldorado convertible is one of the most iconic Cadillacs to ever come out of the General Motors design department.
Offered here is a very nice example of a genuine 1962 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible.
A well kept car with a fine restoration, this Eldorado is equipped with bucket seats, power windows, power steering, power brakes and is finished in its original colors of white with a red interior.
The paint and brightwork are in great condition having been treated to a repaint around 12 years ago according to the previous owner.
The interior is also fairly fresh and is in wonderful condition finished in red leather.
All of the chrome is in great condition as well.
Mechanically it has recently been serviced and it runs and drives great.
The transmission shifts as it should as well.
Overall this is a very nice Eldorado Biarritz that is ready to be driven and shown with pleasure.
