Vehicle Description In the pre-WWII era Packard was the epitome of luxury motoring.
From their beginnings in Detroit in 1899 Packard built the best quality motorcar and continued to do so.
When they began producing their big four cylinder models and later in the teens their famous Twin Six twelve cylinder cars they really began to become one of the greatest cars in the world.
Although, their heyday was really in the classic era starting in the late 1920's with the introduction of their deluxe eight cylinder models.
1930 was arguably one of the greatest, if not the greatest year for Packard with the introduction of their 7 series cars.
The Deluxe eight was the top of the line and are still one of the best looking of all the Packards with their beautiful big deluxe headlights, long straight front fenders, low bodies and low windshields and tops for the open cars.
Ask the man who owns one was their slogan and that stays true to this very day.
The Packard is the best designed and best driving classic American car ever made and this car on offer is a fantastic example of Packards best open 7 series model.
Offered here is an extremely nice 1930 Packard 740 Deluxe Eight Phaeton.
In 1930 Packard's super eight engine was 105 horsepower and still continuing the very bulletproof flathead 8 cylinder design making the 1930 models powerful yet reliable.
This car was part of a very long time collection of a gentleman in Pennsylvania and was acquired by us and passed on to its most recent owner years ago.
It has since had a mechanical overhaul and cosmetic refreshing.
All the chrome has been redone, porcelain manifolds restored, upholstery redone and a new top.
